# KodiakForged - Terms of Sale

Thanks for supporting an independent shop. These Terms of Sale cover your purchase and use of KodiakForged products. By placing an order or using a KodiakForged product, you agree to the terms below. Please read them - especially the sections on intended use, assumption of risk, and limitation of liability.

## 1. About Us
KodiakForged is an independent business that designs and 3D-prints aftermarket vehicle accessories, mounting hardware, and related gear. We are a one-person operation. Every product is designed and printed in Michigan.
KodiakForged is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Toyota Motor Corporation, EcoFlow, Anker Innovations, Milwaukee Tool, Future Motion (Onewheel), or any other vehicle, equipment, or tool manufacturer. Brand names, model numbers, and vehicle references appear in our listings solely to identify which products our accessories are compatible with (nominative fair use). All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
## 2. Made-to-Order Products & Processing Time
Many of our products are made to order. Please allow **3-7 business days** for your item to be printed, finished, packed, and shipped, in addition to carrier transit time. As soon as your shipping label is created, you'll receive an email with tracking.
## 3. Nature of 3D-Printed Parts
Our products are premium 3D-printed parts, built layer by layer from high-strength, temperature-resistant thermoplastics (typically PETG and ASA). They are durable and built for real use, but the 3D-printing process means parts may show minor layer lines or small surface textures. This is normal and is not a defect. Our parts are not injection-molded.
Colors may vary slightly from the photos shown due to differences in materials, lighting, and screen displays.
## 4. Fitment & Compatibility - Your Responsibility to Verify
We work hard to provide accurate fitment information, and every design is modeled from real hardware. However, it is **your responsibility to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle, equipment, model year, and configuration before ordering.**
Fitment can vary by trim level, model year, region, and factory options (for example, single-zone vs. dual-zone climate control, 2-row vs. 3-row seating, or standard vs. push-to-start ignition). Where a listing notes a fitment limitation, please take it seriously. If you are unsure, contact us with your year and model before you order and we'll help confirm.
## 5. Intended Use - Off-Road & Secured Cargo Only (Mounts & Brackets)
This section applies to all mounting products, brackets, rails, and panels.
KodiakForged mounts and brackets are intended for **secured cargo use and off-road use only** - for example, in the bed of a truck or in a designated, separated cargo area. They are **not** intended for use in the passenger cabin, or in unsecured areas of a vehicle, while the vehicle is in motion on public roads or highways.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any item placed in or on a KodiakForged product is independently and safely secured at all times. A mount is only as strong as the surface and hardware it is attached to and the way it is installed.
**Interior accessory panels (MOLLE panels, door and console panels, visor panels):** Modern vehicles contain side-impact airbag systems and crash sensors within doors, seats, and interior assemblies. These products are designed for off-road use only. Do not mount heavy or sharp objects that could become projectiles in a collision, and do not obstruct any airbag deployment zone. It is your responsibility to ensure installation does not interfere with your vehicle's safety systems.
## 6. Installation & Assumption of Risk
You are responsible for proper and safe installation of your KodiakForged product. We recommend reviewing installation guidance and, where applicable, watching relevant tutorials before beginning.
By purchasing and installing a KodiakForged product, **you assume all risk** associated with its installation and use, including the risk of damage to your vehicle, equipment, or other property, and the risk of personal injury. Some products require permanent modification (such as drilling, screwing into factory components, or cutting/transferring electronics), which cannot be undone. Proceed only if you are comfortable doing so.
## 7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KodiakForged LLC is not liable for any damages, injuries, accidents, or losses - whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential - resulting from the use, misuse, improper installation, or failure of any KodiakForged product, including damage to vehicles, equipment, property, or persons.
Concealment or "stash" features are not security devices, do not lock, and are not a substitute for a safe. KodiakForged is not liable for theft of or damage to items stored in any such feature.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KodiakForged LLC's total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the purchase price you paid for that product.
## 8. Warranty
We stand behind the gear we make. If a part fails during normal installation or normal use because of a genuine manufacturing defect, contact us and we'll make it right. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, modification, normal wear, or use outside a product's intended purpose.
## 9. Returns & Exchanges
If you're not satisfied with your gear, reach out within **14 days** of receiving your item and we'll set up a return or exchange. Items must be in like-new, unused condition. Made-to-order and customized items may be non-returnable except in the case of a defect or an error on our end.
If your order arrives damaged, or you receive the wrong item, contact us with your order number and a photo and we'll get it sorted.
## 10. Care
Wipe products down with a damp microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish.
