Install note: swapping a shift knob is generally easy, but if you haven't done one, search "4Runner shift knob removal" on YouTube first. For 4Runners outside the 4th and 5th generations, or if you're unsure, check your current knob's thread against a known M8x1.25 bolt or nut - or confirm with a Toyota parts department using your VIN.
